Aviation Minimum Standards & Leasing Policy

The Aviation Department has contracted with Aviation Management Consulting Group (AMCG) to assist in updating the Aviation Minimum Standards and a general Aviation Leasing Policy for the city’s existing airports – Alliance, Meacham, and Spinks. AMCG is a consulting firm with a strong general aviation background that specializes in providing aviation management consulting services.

For the past year, AMCG and the Aviation Department have worked to develop an update to the Minimum Standards and establish a Leasing Policy. The update to the Minimum Standards will establish, by airport, the minimum requirements that must be met in order for an operator to engage in commercial and non-commercial aeronautical activities. The Leasing Policy will set forth the parameters for leasing airport land and improvements for aviation purposes and outline the process for establishing and adjusting aviation rents and fees at the City’s existing airports. Associated application forms have also been developed that will go hand-in-hand with the Minimum Standards and the Leasing Policy. These include: an Aviation Operator Permit, a Lessee Application and a Self-Fueling Permit.
