Special Needs Assistance Program
In any emergency, good information is crucial. That's why the City of Fort Worth is working with agencies throughout North Texas to build a database of residents with special needs — to ensure assistance is available when disasters strike.
SKYWARN Storm Spotters
SKYWARN spotters are the nation’s first line of defense against severe weather. Spotters volunteer to identify and describe severe local storms, enabling the National Weather Service to issue timely and accurate warnings.
Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
RACES volunteers provide radio communications during local, regional or national emergencies to ensure civil preparedness and aid in response. Volunteers may be called on to assist in natural disasters, power outages, air crashes and many other emergency situations.
