The Community Relations Department focuses on providing links between the city's diverse community and city services. The department engages residents directly through numerous functions, including:
Communications Office – Promotes city of Fort Worth programs and services through media and public relations, publications, the city's Web site and events
Community Outreach – Provides assistance and referrals for health, welfare and social services
Customer Service – Responds to residents’ inquiries and tracks requests
Enforcement – Investigates complaints of discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodation
Neighborhood Office – Facilitates neighborhood capacity building and assists residents by providing education and information about city services and programs
Early Childhood Matters – Directs the Early Childhood Resource Centers program.
