TIF 7: North Tarrant Parkway

Purpose: TIF 7 (North Tarrant Parkway) was created to promote infrastructure improvements for the construction of public thoroughfares, including the North Tarrant Parkway Interchange ramps, frontage roads, and the connecting road from I-35W East to Rainey Lake Road.

Established: Dec. 9, 2003 by City Council; expanded Dec. 9, 2008

Term: The term extends from 2003 until 2019 and will terminate on the earlier of (i) Dec. 31, 2019, or an earlier termination date designated by an ordinance adopted after the effective date of the ordinance, or (ii) the date on which all project costs, tax increment bonds, and interest on those bonds have been paid in full. View the boundary map. 

General: This TIF covers 2,103 acres. It is generally bounded to the south at the intersection of I-35 North and Highway 287, to the north by Golden Triangle Boulevard, and along the west by Harmon Road. Mr. Danny Scarth serves as the Chair for TIF 7.
