The Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge 2011

The 2012 Summer Reading Challenge is officially over!  We hope that everyone who particpated read lots of good books and enjoyed some great programs.  The 2012 Mayor's Summer Reading Challenge ran from May 26-August 5, 2012.  It was open to participants of all ages, and everyone was eligible to win some great prizes — including iPads, Kindle Fires, Nooks, netbook computers and museum memberships.

And remember, the Summer Reading Challenge wasn’t just about reading — the Library had fun programs, too! Throughout June and July, our library locations and Early Childhood Matters centers presented children and adult's programs that were both entertaining and educational.

It all wrapped up with a Grand Celebration on Sunday, Aug. 12, 1 - 5 p.m. at the Central Library. We had live music, story tellers and free refreshments!  Plus, we announced the winners of our grand prizes.  Check out the prize winners page to see who won.
