Meter Rates

  • One-Hour Meters
    $1.25 per hour
  • Two-Hour Meters
    $1.25 per hour
  • Four-Hour Meters
    $0.75 per hour

Meter Feeding

Drivers are required to move their vehicles when the meter time limits expire. Drivers cannot insert more coins to extend the time on the meter.

City Council approved a ban on "meter feeding" in November 2005 to create "turn over" and opportunities for others to park in high-traffic areas.

Meter Rental

Parking meters may be rented for special events or in conjunction with construction work being performed in the street, sidewalk or adjacent property.

An initial fee of $20 plus $6 per meter per day is required.

Requests for rentals should be directed to the Transportation and Public Works Department Traffic Engineering Division’s Street Permit Center three days before meters are needed*. Download a request form.

In the event that the requestor is disabled and needs to get as close as possible (at a street meter) to the place in which business is being conducted, please send proof of disability and proof of required business in the vicinity along with the request for rental.
